Hi,

I noticed my stools were very mucousy and I would pass a stool then release gas after which would be mucous. I have been needing to go to the toilet a lot more often than usual. I done a stood sample at my Drs they said no blood was detected, that was all was mentioned. I am anaemic in this pregnancy.

I have the feeling like my bowels haven’t completely opened after going to the toilet. I feel worried I have a 2 year old and am due to give birth in under a month. Are these cancerous signs? Sorry for the picture I just want to reference what the mucous looks like. Feeling rather worried. Also, I feel really paranoid as often when I’ve done just a wee and I’m wiping there is still poo sometimes on the toilet paper.

Hi CharlieA234,

Thank you for posting on colon cancer connected. Let me congratulate you on getting ready to have another little one👏❤️. That has to be exciting for you. I hate that you're experiencing some of these symptoms. A pregnancy can cause a lot of different symptoms to occur, but you were right in getting it checked out. I'm glad to see you had a FIT test for blood in the stool they came back negative. That's good news. One thing to think about is if there is a family history of certain health issues. The fact that you are experiencing anemia is another thing for your doctors to keep an eye on. Abdominal pain, losing weight, and fatigue are other issues to get checked out and make sure they don't lead to cancer. I don't see that occurring now with you.

It is a very good sign that the blood test came up negative with your stool sample. Other symptoms may be caused by the pregnancy. I would definitely bring it up to your doctors and let them know you're aware of that and any other conditions that may be hereditary in the family.

We do wish you the very best with your pregnancy and hope everything goes very well for you❤️. With a month to go, I would focus on having a healthy baby and enjoy that experience.

Thank you,
