Hi Mike2413,

Thank you for posting on colon cancer connected. I hate to see you having to deal with a change in bowel movements. You said this has been going on for two weeks. Even if there is something like a change in diet, your stool becoming “thin” is odd. And the fact that it's been going on for two weeks is odd as well. Another symptom added in here is the lower back pain. It doesn't sound like we're dealing with any constipation. You also sound like the type of guy that is relatively healthy, eating well and exercising. You're probably pretty consistent with your meals as well.

Anytime you see changes coming from the gastrointestinal area I treat as symptoms. Something is definitely causing this and it's probably a good idea to have it checked out just to give yourself peace of mind and make sure you're catching something early. A thin stool and lower back pain are definitely symptoms and you should know what's causing this.

We do wish you all the best in finding answers and getting on the path of being well. Another thing to think about is if there is a hereditary issue going on. Is there a history of this in your family? And please do let us know what you find out as this type of information can prove to be helpful for others on this site as well.

Thank you,

~Tom, GCCA Survivor - Colon Cancer Connected Site Administrator.
