Hi Ella, the bowel specialist will hopefully put you forward for a colonoscopy. Then they can see what is going on. Try not to worry too much, it could be anything. At least you are being checked and will soon know some answers.

Hi Ella1992,

Thank you for posting on colon cancer connected. I hate to see you are having to deal with these issues but I'm proud of you for seeking answers for them. There can be so many reasons for what you are seeing and you need to put your focus and energy on getting answers. I see you have been referred to a bowel specialist that wants to do a full stomach scan. I assume that's a CT scan and that is one way to look for things. I would also ask your doctor about getting a colonoscopy as that may be a very beneficial test to help determine what's causing your bowel changes. But please know that what's causing this can be many different things. You just need to focus on getting tests that will get you answers and narrow things down for you. And I see you are on your way to doing just that which is great.

We do wish you all the best in getting the answers you are looking for. Please let us know what information you find from the full stomach scan And any other tests which may be ordered to get you some answers. This type of information can prove to be beneficial for others on this site as well.

Thank You,

~Tom, GCCA Survivor - Colon Cancer Connected Site Administrator.

OK, so we got an ultrasound and we ruled out gallstones being a cause of the symptoms. So now we just need to get into the bowel specialist and do some more testing from there. You have seen other comments here and they are very true, this can be being caused by many different things. We just need to narrow down what's going on and your bowel specialist should be able to do that for you. I would think most definitely you would want to be getting a colonoscopy to make sure of what's going on. That what go a long way in getting you the answers you need.👍 Please let us know what you find out.
