Hi richo46290,
Thank you for posting in Colon Cancer Connected.
Having blood in the stool is a symptom that needs to be checked out. It could be from a lot of different reasons. You are not experiencing pain, but it's still something your doctor should determine what's causing it. It definitely shouldn't be ignored.
There are many causes for blood in the stool, some are very treatable with medication, diet change, and minor procedures, and of course, there are more serious reasons for blood in the stool as well. For that reason, we always advise patients to seek medical care when they have blood in the stool.
We do wish you the very best in finding answers to your symptoms. Please keep us informed with what you find out as it could help others.
Thank You,

Hi Richo, Not sure if you mean you went to the toilet 5 times in a day? I have haemorrhoids which used to be really bad, a lot of blood and clots too. Now thankfully not so bad. As Tom has said, you need to get it checked out. I had a positive FIT test which resulted in a colonoscopy and CT scan. Still have haemorrhoids but also diverticulosis. Not always cancer, but definitely needs further investigation. Hope all goes well.
