FIT TEST of 155 with blood in runny poo and right side discomfort. Really scared right now

I'm sorry that these symptoms are causing you discomfort. Something is going on that lead you to take the FIT in the first place. Given your results, you should schedule with your doctor and get further advice. A positive FIT means you need to know why. What's going on to cause this? A colonoscopy is usually the next step. Please seek advice from you doctor.

There are many causes for blood in the stool, some are very treatable with medication, diet change, and minor procedures, and of course, there are more serious reasons for blood in the stool as well. For that reason, we always advise patients to seek medical care when they have blood in the stool.

The FIT identified that there was blood in the stool. The positive result could be caused by a stomach ulcer, hemorrhoids, other inflammation. A positive FIT can also be due to a polyp, a pre-cancerous polyp, or colorectal cancer. A positive FIT means you need a colonoscopy to determine the reason for the positive result, but sometimes there are false positives, meaning that the FIT was positive, but there is no cancer.

Please focus on obtaining more knowledge about your situation. Try not to worry too much. You've obtained some useful information about your health and now need further information about it.

Thank you Tom for your empathetic reply. Much appreciated. Am now booked for a 2ww consultation this Tuesday which I hope will lead to colonoscopy very soon

Hope you have had a positive consultation. Our hospital is just phone calls. Still waiting for my colonoscopy after a month of promises. I also had a high fit test . So I was interested in your post and hope all is well.
