Hi Everyone.

I’m a 27 year old male that sometimes has bright red blood in the toilet and when I wipe, it comes and goes , usually I can feel it happening because when I go for really dry BM I can feel my bum being ripped, and then it usually heals over course of a couple weeks. It’s always bright red blood never dark , always looks fresh , I’ve been taking some stool softeners and upping fibre? Has anyone experienced this before or any help you could give?

I would suggest consulting your doctor. It's important to be proactive and make sure any symptoms are being monitored. If you doctor feels you should have colorectal cancer screening, there are several screening tests that you may want to consider, including FIT, FOBT, Barium Enema, Virtual Colonoscopy and Standard Colonoscopy. Also, for more information on screening and prevention, visit our Global Colon Cancer Association website: GlobalCCA.org
