Dont let symptom affect your mental health!

I am 35 years old. I had colonoscopy 4 years ago and I have hemorrhoid. Recently I discovered bleeding more frequently during bowel movement. My family member just thought I was too sensitive and they thought the blood was just coming from hemerrhoid. I just felt something was wrong, and finally decided to do a colonoscopy again after half year of the bleeding symptoms. Finally, they discovered a small polyp on my rectum, I am so glad I insisted to visit the doctor and did the colonoscopy again. My last colonoscopy was clear without any polyps. According to the recommendation, I can do another colonoscopy after 10 years. Luckily, I insisted and trusted myself. If you are worried, just be brave and do a colonoscopy and you can have peace in your mind. I know if I dont do the colonoscopy again, my mental health will be greatly impacted.

Thank you for your post. This is important information and I am glad you trusted your instinct and went in for screening. Each of us knows our own bodies the best, and if something doesn't feel right, it's important to get it checked out. Always consult your doctor and keep track of any symptoms, bleeding or changes with your bowel movements. There are several screening tests you can ask speak with your doctor about, including: FIT, FOBT, stool DNA, double-contrast barium enema, virtual colonoscopy and colonoscopy. For more information on screening, please visit our website: Global Colon Cancer Association https/:GlobalCCA.org
