So for about 3/4 weeks, I was having very loose stool on average 3 times a day. Usually I would go twice a day almost every day without fail, with good consistency.
On Monday, this completely flipped. I have had one (extremely smelly) stool on Tuesday, since then I've managed to force out some rabbit droppings. My other symptoms are a complete lack of appetite and a sharp pain in my lower abdomen after I eat anything substantial.
I've been to A&E about it but the doctor there was understandably busy, I was with him for about a minute before he prescribed me laxatives and some anti cramp medicine. After that I looked up the symptoms of bowel cancer online (I know) and the flip from diarrhoea to constipation and the pain I'm experiencing are two of the main symptoms.
I've booked an appointment with my GP and have started keeping a diary of food and bowel movements, but with that being six weeks away, I am at a complete loss as what to do other than keep going to A&E which I don't really want to do. However if it is cancer then 6 weeks could be the difference between life and death for me.
Anyone else had a smilier experience to this? Currently sitting at home, in pain every day, sure that I'm going to die from this but I can't get any help.

I'm having the same problems I've been prescribed fibre and a laxative. But still having Problems, it's been around 4 weeks of very loose stool and has been like this for around 3 months. Ive been examined twice by GP' s and they kept saying it is IBS. but I keep getting pain in my upper stomach pancreas location and I'm getting very worried. I can say what helped me and might help you for now. whenever you have severe stomach pain get a hot water bottle and rest it on your stomach it helps FOR NOW but really need to get to the bottom of this. Please if you get any more information on this update the post thank you.
If you don’t want to wait 6 weeks and you are very concerned for your health, you can call 111. ( if you are in Uk and from your post I’m assuming that you are) they will ask questions and recommend an urgent gp appointment if needed, they can even arrange this for you and tell you where you need to go to receive the help you need.
Sorry your going through this. I too have horrible anxiety and have been having bright red streaks intermittently on my stool. I have a colonoscopy in 3 weeks. The only advice I can offer is this. YOUR NOT ALONE! 😇
I try not focus on the bad ( easier said then done) but I’m continually trying to remember that chances are it’s not the worst case scenario and things will work out for the best not the worst. See your doctor be your own advocate.
I’m praying for you and everyone on this site right now! For the sake of His sorrowful Passion have mercy on us and on the whole world!
WorriedMLT, At 27 I had the exact same thing happen to me, along with some fatigue and my doctor said i need to take it easy, so I did. About 4 months later the fatigue grew severe along with the loss of appetite, nausea , infrequent bowel movements that were so watery, extreme bloating and a huge, hard lump formed on my right side. My new doctor told me it was just gas from being overweight and eating unhealthy.
Add to that another 6 months of me getting worse and i was adnmitted into the emergency room for wht they thought was a burst appendix. It turnds out i had stage 4 colon cancer.
Please do not let any single doctor ever make you feel like you are making a big deal out of nothing. There is something going on with your bod y and it does not mean it is cancer. I would strongy recommend seeing a gastroenterologist.
