Hey all just want to let people know not to be scared of colonoscopy or its prep I'm 33 and that was my 1st ever procedure, anyway since October last year I kept getting diarrhea 4x a week then the bleeding came I use to only bleed once every couple of months

But it became constant every bowel movement for 6 days straight

Went to the colonoscopy got endoscopy aswel

And all was clear but a few tiny hemorrhoids

Other then that my colon was supreme

I bled for days after the procedure

They say all I can do is manage the hemorrhoids but how when it's only ointment and baths and cold press

But that can only help so much.. I don't know how else to help them ?? Any advice would be great

I'm from AUSTRALIA Btw

Thanks in advance

Dear Jezsika ,Thank you for posting and I'm sorry to read about what you've been going through! It is so stressful to have rectal bleeding.

How long ago was the colonoscopy? Is the bleeding since you've had the colonoscopy different from the bleeding you were having before the colonoscopy?

Does your doctor who performed the colonoscopy know that as of today, you are still actively experiencing bleeding?

If the bleeding is coming from hemorrhoids, there are procedures or surgeries that a colorectal surgeon can perform to get the bleeding under control.

Please let me know about the above and we're thinking of you.

Hello , thanks for the reply im sure the bleeding is the same I have dervicular disease so I'm not sure if it has something to do with that my doctor reckons no because I have no fever but u heard you can bleed with no fever . I sometimes bleed before a bowel movement for 6 days in a row then will stop for a couple of weeks then start back up, my specialist told me to keep going with my doctor as their is nothing he can do as he put me on probiotics and my colonoscopy was basically clear .. I'm just getting really frustrated now .
