Hello, I have been having stool issues since August of 2020. I've had like sort of like a pale brown or light peanut butter color and green poop. I've had long green thin stools a while ago but I haven't seen them at all. Now I only poop the thick pale ones. Whenever I poop it's pale brown like I've mentioned and my Dad told me to drink more water and eat fiber. I've had done that and I've seen my poops go back to normal and a normal brown color. But it only lasted for about a couple days then it went back to the pale color again. But I noticed whenever I wipe it's all yellow never brown. I've had some feelings of discomfort no cramps or pain. And I tried smelling the wipe and it's very foul. I have no idea what this is could it be because of my diet or something worse. I have seen like little red patches in my poop too.

Dear Johmwick34101 ,
Thank you for posting in Colon Cancer Connected. I'm sorry that these symptoms are causing you anxiety.
This site does not offer medical advice, but we are here to share our experience and offer our advice. It should not replace speaking to your doctor.
When you experience a change in bowel habits, it is a good idea to consult with your doctor. Because of COVID, this may be a video call with your primary care doctor, and then they will determine if an in-person visit is necessary or a referral to a specialist, it really depends where you are, and what the medical provider's policy is on seeing patients in person.
Can you start by contacting your primary care doctor?
There are so many reasons that you could be experiencing these specific types of bowel movements so try not to get too anxious but do contact a doctor.
Before you speak to your doctor, be sure to have written down a list of all medications that you are currently taking, including over-the-counter medications and supplements. Often, patients with GI issues will also keep a food journal to track food and beverage intake, bowel movements, any pain or bleeding, etc. This could be useful information for your doctor. Additionally, it could show you a pattern (for instance, possibly being lactose intolerant, if you experience diarrhea after eating dairy).
Good luck and keep us posted!
