Hello can anyone please give me their insight on this stool picture. There is small amount of bright red blood in the picture in the upper right, you probably can't see it unless you zoom in. I am scheduled for colonoscopy but don't want to have it. I have a swallowing problem so my diet has been bad with fiber for 4 months until recently. I ate so many bananas in a smoothie a month ago I had an incident that I think caused a bowel obstruction, it resided luckily on it's own, but I thought maybe it caused an anal fissure.
Is this stool texture more indicative of one thing over the other (CC v. fissure) even thought there is bright red streaked blood?
I've also been getting itching that is intermittent at times but the last two weeks I've experienced it at least 5-6 different days. Usually goes away after some time.
An ER doctor looked at my anus 4 months ago and said I had a yeast infection. I did not take any medication or get it treated.
Thank you very much.

Hello sjrecco84 ,Thanks for posting and I hope we'll be able to offer you some support.
Do you have a specialist (gastroenterologist) that you see? If not, it could be a good idea (aside from the bleeding concern you referenced) it sounds like you might benefit from a consultation to help with your diet and nutrition to keep you more regular.
There are alternatives to colonoscopy - for instance, a CT colonography (also known as a virtual colonoscopy) takes a CT scan of your colon. You still need to do the prep as you would with a colonoscopy a day prior, but it is non-invasive.
There are many reasons for why you could be experiencing those symptoms, but a specialist would need to examine and diagnose. Also, it would be a good idea to have the anal area examined to determine if the yeast infection is still there.
Thank you so much for the reply. I saw a gastroenterologist to go over everything. She said to get a colonoscopy which I am. But she did do a digital rectal exam, it was only 10 seconds maybe, thought it would have been a minute. She said I have hemmorhoids (internal I think) so I guess that's a good thing as it could explain the bleeding. I have been straining so much with my poor diet so that's what I assumed but it's hard not to think the worst.
