Over the past two weeks I have noticed myself going to the toilet a lot more and have a persistent Diarrhoea on and off. I don't have any other symptoms such as pain or cramping, sweats, or sickness and I haven't noticed blood in my stool either but smalls bits of mucus recently.

I have got a lot better over the past week and have improved a lot significantly over the past four days with bowel movements returning to normal but this morning I had a few visits it started with a normal bowel movement, then a few hours later mushy, then it followed by three loose watery mushy/loose bowel movements that contained small amounts of mucus.

this is what my last bowel was like three hours ago.

Hi J90J24J,

Thanks for posting with us. I hate you’re having to deal with this, but glad you’re not ignoring it. You need more info like a FIT test. I would do it at your doctor’s place in case other tests are warranted. You should know that this could be caused by many different things. It just needs to be narrowed down. Have you changed your diet in any way recently? Right now, you are left to speculate and you need definitive answers so you can get on the path to being well and not have to worry about it.

Another good thing to know is if there is any hereditary history of disease in your family. That could lead to other beneficial tests as well.

We do wish you the best in finding out what’s going on and causing this. Please let us know what you find out as it is that type of information that can be helpful to others on this site as well.

I was perfectly fine until two week ago then the symptoms started. Really bad to begin with and then up and down since with some days being better than others but I thought I was over whatever was causing it (My stools don't always look that way as the image above sometimes there there mushy but unformed) but the last few days I was great normal bowl movements and only had three across four days but this morning something must have triggered the urges again but I had one normal bowel movement at 2AM then about 30 minutes later a mushy stool which was unformed then obviously for a few hours they were loose but mushy. I don't feel pain or anything like in the my stomach, or feel sick, or haven't been sick, I do occasionally have a ache at the bottom of my belly which is relieved after a bowel movement but I have had that for years from time to time.

I haven't really changed my diet to cause this but I have altered by diet to control it and firm up my stools which it did do to be quite honest because as I previously mentioned The diarrhoea sensations haven't been as strong as the previous week but they still come from time to time. but Monday I had an onset then it settled then and I only went once on Wednesday and was great all day and all night then had another onset on Thursday morning which then eased after a few bowel movement but after that I went back to normal for four days including bowel movement and the shape of them until this morning with another onset which started with a normal movement then went to unformed to then like the image I showed of my stool.

It's a concern but I don't feel unwell, sick or nauseated - I do have prolapsed Haemorrhoids to though.

Yeah, could be something simple like a bacterial infection? Get it checked out and know for sure.👍 I have things come and go and it's usually due to a change in my diet or quantity of something I ate.

I've been fantastic all week and have had normal bowel Movements but this morning had a flare-up of bouts of Diarrhoea but over the last couple of days I've had a cream cake, carbonated drinks again and also a couple of milkshakes and it seems to have triggered me again.

I always make mental notes of triggers myself. It could be the item or could be the quantity 🤔
