Has anyone experienced right sided and mid back pain as well as bleeding?

Hi I’m such a worrier and have for a few years experienced bleeding bright red change of bowel habits, constipation and softer stools ( not runny) and mucus with right side pain mid flank that radiates to my back. I’ve put it down to haemorrhoids

I had a sigmoidoscopy which I wasn’t too successful because I couldn’t tolerate I was told. I was informed I had a first degree haemorrhoid but it could be managed with cream.

I had a Virtual CT colonoscopy which identified thickened bowel and a 2cm polyp that I am having removed Friday. My worry is the right side pain as when I sleep in my right side I can feel pressure inside me like there is something being squeezed. is this anything to worry about?

Hopefully all goes well Friday and I get clear results with an answer to what’s going on. I often read that nothing is found or there is no reason for the pain but then what ? I said I was a worrier

Thank you for posting and I hope that the polyp removal is straightforward and goes well.

Did your Gastroenterologist have any thoughts about if the pain was related to your colon?

Please update us when you have a chance on how the colonoscopy / polyp removal goes today.

Hiya i have the exact same symptoms as u blood when i poop pain in lower right abdomen and back and side had exams they see no blood but everytime i go toilet theres a lot it all started 2 weeks ago i googled it n frightened myself ended up in assessment unit who did bloods which were fine and kidney and bladder scan which was fine. I do have a hemoroid on the opening of my bum which was bleeding n the assessor said hes booking a camera to see if anything else is causing it i said what can it find he said hemoroids polyps or cancer so now i cant sleep or think straight. Ive always had a bad diet but the nurse who discharged me said not to worry as we can see you have a pile so u probably have more higher up which causes the bleeding. It isnt an emergency camrea they said its about 3-4 weeks waiting for it. Made me feel so sick
