Worried about my poop

Hello,

So lately I’ve experienced constipation and diarrhea which has been happening for about a week. I’ve been worried that I might have colon cancer but can anyone tell from my poop if there are any sign of it or is it just normal??

Looks like mine had looked for the past 3 months. I think they said blood is usually your first sign. There are many other things that can cause loose stools and diarrhea. I’ve seen other members post some really bad photos that would have be screaming and running for the ER so you don’t seem to have much to worry about but as always a colonoscopy doesn’t hurt.

Thanks for posting and I'm sorry to hear about your symptoms. There are so many possible reasons for why you are experiencing constipation and diarrhea - but the only way to know for certain what is going on, is to see a specialist.

I recommend keeping track of what you eat, your medications (both Rx and over the counter), exercise, and bowel habits. There may be a pattern that your doctor will be able to see from what you provide from a daily journal.

Try not to let the anxiety get to you - but do make an appointment so that you can have peace of mind.
