Rectal cancer concern

Hello everyone. I’m worried because I have fibromyalgia, but over the last year I’ve experienced a change. I have left side upper and lower abdominal pain. I also have back pain. I constantly feel fatigue and under the weather like I always have a flu, just achy. I also have sore groin nodes but not enlarged. In addition I have pellet bowel movement and hours later lose stool. I have constipation issues too but the bowel issues come and go over the weeks. I’m 35 year old female. Does this sound like rectal cancer? I would appreciate some great advice? I’m so worried! And also if someone has rectal cancer to they have suspicious blood work?

Hello Stresed20,

Thank you for posting and I'm sorry for the issues you are experiencing.

There are a number of reasons why you could be experiencing all of those symptoms, but a specialist will need to run some tests to determine what is going on with your body.

We recommend that you reach out to get an appointment with a gastroenterologist as soon as possible. Depending on where you live, and what type of insurance you have, you may need to see a primary care Doctor first and then get a referral.

Can you reach out to make an appointment?

Please keep us posted, we're here for you.
