Can someone please help me, I am having a really bad flare up of IBS lately, nothing like I have ever had before and I have been diagnosed almost 6 years ago. I have been having very strong cramps, exsessive wind and I have been going to the toilet more in the evening which is not usually for me. Can anyone tell me what is all over my stool? I’m sorry for the picture but I think I’m getting worried for nothing, in my head it looks like blood, but it’s all over and more of an orange/brown colour, if you can see what I’m seeing! I thought it was mucus but then isn’t that white? I would appreciate if anyone could comment back to me, also does this look like a normal stool?
Thank you for posting and im sorry to read about what you are experiencing.
Do you have a gastroenterologist that is overseeing your care? If so, I would recommend making an appointment.
When you see your doctor, tell them if you have had any changes in medication or anything else that has changed in your life (exercise, other illness, etc.)
Please keep us posted - but try to call your doctor if you don't have a GI, contact your primary care.
