Can hemorrhoids cause dark blood?

Hi everyone I would really appreciate your views. I have been having what looks like maroon/brown mucasy blood on/mixed/inside my stool. Some of the blood looks dark red and other parts look like the blood is mixed inside the stool and gives a deep red brown tint. I was wondering can hemorrhoids cause darker blood and has it happened to anyone here and also can the blood get mixed with the stool to give it a darker appearance. Can that happen. I’m honestly freaking out! I have so much anxiety cause of this. Thank you.

I could try, it’s like a reddish brown mucasy.

Did they say how long it will take to get the stool test results? I know this is causing great anxiety for you - continue to follow up with the specialist and advocate for yourself to get an appointment and a colonoscopy. If you need, have a friend call with doctor's office with you on speaker to give you support to push for the medical examinations that you need.
