Hi, recently I've been having some stomach issues that's been getting better but I don't know for sure. It started about 4 days ago. I had a really bad stomach ache when I woke up. Granted the stomach ache had been lingering a few days before that everytime I woke up but would go away after I ate. Back to the present, the stomach ache was really bad & later that I felt like I had to poop but nothing was coming out. I was clearly constipated so I took some laxatives and I was able to poop that day. I've been eating small meals ever since then so I've only been pooping once a day. There's no noticable blood in my poop or when I wipe but after googling colon cancer, they said it could be unnoticeable at first.... So that's why I'm freaking out. The stomach pain has gone down alot as the week has gone by & I'm still only pooping once or twice a day. Also, I've been letting out gas I guess more frequently than usual & have been getting dry mouth alot recently... but that could be linked to so many other things. I just want to know if it's possible I'm getting early signs of colon cancer because it's really been bugging me these past few days & I can't really relax without thinking about it. Also I don't want to waste a Doctors time going so I'd much rather ask around first to see if what I'm describing is actually a serious matter. Also just some extra info. I'm currently 17 about to turn 18 in May. I used to work out and walk 1 mile to & from my school before quarantine & also I play sports so I am some what of a fit person. I don't eat the healthiest like only fruits and vegetables but I still eat under moderation & I drink plenty of water everyday. Just thought that adding that in could really help y'all out in determining if this is serious or not. I don't know how common it is to get colon cancer, or any cancer at that at 17/18 when you live a pretty much moderate life when it comes to eating/exercise & sleep. Please if anyone has any recommendations/answers or advice to help please respond, I'd really appreciate it! Thank you.

*PS* here's a photo of my poop from tonight. I ate one pack of ramen & an apple & this is what came out. I didn't expect to have a huge stool but I guess this looks somewhat normal? I don't know, I'll let y'all be the judge.

Thank you again, and God bless every last one of you!

It doesn’t sound like serious symptoms. If you notice this go on for more then 10 days I’d go see a doctor. Make sure your eating enough fibre, ramen and an apple isn’t nutritious so your stool isn’t gonna be exactly pleasant looking. It doesn’t sound like colon cancer to me, but I’m no doctor so I can’t say. Your also extremely young to be diagnosed with that. Any other issues or symptoms?

That gives me some reassurance thank you! And no I haven't had any other symptoms that's alarming or related to colon cancer besides what I described. Only thing I could probably say is I've had occasional body aches but it's never anything severe and goes away on it's own.

The doctor can do a simple stool and blood test for you, I think you’ll be ok but get checked.
