second CLL treatment

time for second treatment. First treatment with ibrutinib caused a heart attack. Then had venetoclax with retuximab in 2019. Was very effective.

now dr is giving option of venetoclax again or zanubrutinib. Not sure which treatment route to take. Thoughts?

Thanks for sharing your situation, as I am potentially facing similar decisions. After a 5+ year post-Ibrutinib, post-afib “treatment holiday” my labs are slowly slipping out of normal ranges. I appreciate A-Neil’s previous post regarding the BTK options.

Maybe you should inquire about a combination treatment? I do not know what might be available to you. Also, look for a clinical trial.

I’m on Brukinsa and it’s working with very little side effects.
