Hi, I've just seen a post on root canals and it's sparked my few brain cells to wondering. I am / was thinking of having my teeth either veneers or implants. Is this possible on watch and wait or is the issue of potential infection too serious to have the procedure? Thanks in advance for your help

I had the stumps of 5 failed root canals extracted 2 weeks before starting V+O. I only took the Co-amoxiclav for 3 days as it caused constipation, I had been given 5 days supply.
Before the extraction they needed adequate platelets.
What was important was that I wouldn't need any further invasive dental work that could cause infection for the 48 weeks of V+O.
Other treatments such as continuous cBTKi require suspension of the cBTKi for a few days before and after any surgery as they can cause bleeding. It would be wise to ensure teeth are fit for at least the first 6 months, when the Lymph count can be expected to have reduced to near normal. Depending on CLL presence when stopping, this can result in tumour flare or the complete opposite, no change and the possibility of a drug holiday.

If you are having dental treatment it might be wise to take a course of antibiotics against any infection. Whenever my husband has treatment, ie extracts etc., I always request this for him as advised by hie hematologist.
I have posted this previously as a reply to a similar question.
I was diagnosed in March 2016 and at the time was enquiring about an implant, as I had a post crown on one of my front teeth which was failing and a replacement was unlikely to be successful. I was on WAW with a WBC of 30.9.
My dentist was aware of my condition and was happy to proceed with an implant in late 2016. He extracted the remains of the tooth and allowed adequate time for it to heal. He did a bone graft and then fitted the implant as well as 2 crowns and 2 veneers on adjacent teeth. He prescribed a course of antibiotics as a precaution. There were no complications.
I had a check up in March 2018, a year after the implant procedure was completed and all was well. This was just prior to starting FCR chemo in April 2018, my dentist prescribed a Gingival gel as a precaution, for use during my chemo.
During and Post chemo I have not had any issues with the implant. I have since started my second treatment with Calquence without any issues.
