After a URI requiring 5 weeks of antibiotics and 3 surgeries I made it out for a fairly rigorous hike based on my current standards since starting V+O for R:R CLL.
But despite the aches and pains and fatigue I’ve come to accept as the new normal, I felt so much gratitude to God that I’ve out lived my original life expectancy by almost a decade, for all the research that has led to life saving treatment breakthroughs, got the beautiful world I can go to for refreshing my heart and sole snd the strength to do it.
God bless all of us

Uplifting message - and long may it last for you. I have taken to telling myself - often out loud - to "take pleasure" whenever there is something lovely, be it a beautiful cloud formation, a walk, a frog in my little pond or a purring cat. I find that being mindful of the beauty lifts me even more than the original experience...
thank you for the beautiful picture. That is indeed God‘s country. Best luck to you and your lovely walks in the mountains. Here in Florida the heat and humidity has increased in intensity to the point that staying inside is a blessing. Unless you are outside in the pool, it is just, too difficult to walk very far. I still managed to get out a couple times a day to take the little dog for a stroll.
What a gorgeous photo of an awesome view. Glad you're now able to get out and enjoy.
I may live in a place called Blue Mountain but it's a big hill really and it's still a lovely part of the escarpment. Mostly I'm grateful that on certain mornings on my drive to work the vista still takes my breath away.
It's easy to get caught up in the details of living, necessary actually with CLL, but the moments that stop me in my tracks are a great reminder to embrace living in the moment and simply appreciate what I have and how lucky.
Thanks a bunch. Keep enjoying and bringing the gorgeous photos. 🫶
Doc so sorry for all you have been through yet you always stay so positive. Wishing you better health in the coming days. Sending good wishes your way. 😍
Thank goodness you are finally on the mend. Love your positivity. Your photo is so incredibly beautiful! It speaks to my soul - thanks for taking us along on your uplifting nature walk! ❤️ Hope your tomorrow is even better than that fresh mountain air!
Love the mountains and your positive attitude. I could look at your view forever. I am 1 1/2 to 3 hours from the BlueRidge, Appalachian and Smoky Mountains. We visit as often as we can, but I never get enough of them. If it were not for our Grandkids, I think we would chuck it all and move to the mountains….but of course at this age and with CLL, guess we’d better stay close to kids and doctors!
