Continue medication upon remission

Hi Fellow members,

I am on Acalabrutinib since April 2022 and Venetoclax since last July. I did the BM test last month and my hematologist declared I am UMRD - ( less than one cell in 100,000 ).

However my hematologist still wants me to follow the 24 months protocol and I need to continue Acalabrutinib and Venetoclax until March next year.

I would like know anyone have such experience and any member stop the medications upon remission without problem.

Thanks

Dave.

I was in this position Dave being on the Flair Trial which requires continuance based on time to remission.

I had concerns but was required to do this. I did negotiate a slight reduction in dosage however. Personally, I’d continue as recommended as it’s only a further 3 months.

Regards,

Newdawn

Hi Newdawn,

Thanks for your reply. I will follow the 24 months protocol and hope for long remission.
