Alternative Covid Jab

Hi All, I had my Sanofi Vaccine yesterday, which was given as an alternative to Pfizer which I had bad reactions to.

In Scotland I had to get my Haematologist to inform the Vaccine centre that I needed it, after various calls to various people.

So far I have had no more than a mild sore arm, and a medium short lived headache.

I would be interested in anyone else's experience with this particular Vaccine.

All the best, all. Ron.

are you in the UK? is this available in the usa do you know? i'm supposed to get my pfizer next weekend and i'm dreading it i get VERY ill each time. 104.5 fever each time for 24hrs and longer. and every horrible symptom in the book! after 2 days i'm starting to feel better but its a rough ride. has happened for each and every booster. i would like a better experience that works well though, at least as well as it can in ppl like us. is this one good for immunocompromised ppl? thanks!

I am in the UK and it is not usually offered to us in Scotland, but I managed to get it on the recommendation my Haematologist.

Like you I had horrid reactions to Pfizer, but on day two, of Sonafin, no problems other than mild arm ache, and short term headache.

I don't know if you can get it in the US, it may be worth doing a bit of research, and you will possible find a source, it would be well worth the effort.

All the very best to you. Ron

we have an alternative covid vaccine in usa its called novovax i believe. it is not mrna based. it is an adjuvant type older school methodology. i decided to wait on it as it was only recently approved. my hb is in a study to test dose efficacy i saw some reports it was not as protective for those 65+. i'll grit my teeth and get thru the covid booster again somehow lol

It was definitely a COVID vaccine as I get the flu shots around October. I had it a chemist where I had never been before on the opposite end of town
