Venclexta dosing schedule question.

I am trying to figure out when I will be done with my Venclexta but I'm kind of confused. I started the ramp up on 11/17/2022. I started the Gazyva infusions on 10/27 & 28. Is there anyone who is knowledgeable at figuring this out?

So if I understand this schedule correctly, I will finish treatment one year after the first infusion? You don't take the Venclexta for 12 full months?

There are slight variations for clinical trials, but as the schedule finishes:-

Months 7–12

You will continue to take VENCLEXTA once daily until the end of the 12-month treatment period. VENCLEXTA should be taken at the recommended daily dose as prescribed until your healthcare provider tells you to stop taking VENCLEXTA or changes your dose.

I think so. I did 12 cycles, each lasting 28 days. It is roughly 11 calendar months.

Obin (should) starts at day 1 of cycle 1 (I was a day late, they pulled it back at start of Ven). Finishes at day 1 of cycle 6.

You start Ven in week 4 of cycle 1 at 20mg/day, 1 week.

Full titration, end of cycle 2, 4 weeks.

Then 10 cycles on full 400mg dose, 40 weeks.

Total time on Ven is 11.25 cycles, 45 weeks from first 20mg dose, 7 weeks 1 day short of a year. Total duration from start of Obin is 12 cycles, 48 weeks, 4 weeks 1 day short of a year.

It should never be "months", other than for the most simplistic description of the schedule, they have different lengths but drugs don't come in 29/30/31 day packs. Most CLL cycles are 4 weeks but some treatments are 3 week cycles.

It's normal in UK for blood tests on Monday, day -2 of a cycle. Consultation to approve prescription on Tuesday day -1 and treatment cycle starts on Wednesday day 1. If it was months there would be times when it got messed up by those days being at weekends or bank holidays. Doctors and nurses in cancer outpatients like and need their weekends off as well. US doctors may like working weekends.

My Venetoclax was scheduled to end 12 months after I reached the regular dose of 400mg, after ramp up (my Obinu ended months before that).
