Replacement for Evusheld

Does anyone know if a pharmaceutical company is working on a replacement for Evusheld and, if so, has it started trials? Several months before emergency approval for Evusheld was withdrawn I read that an updated version was in the works but I have not heard or read anything since.

Beside the AZ's SUPERNOVA trial, others are working on PrEP including Invyvid. We have a link to their pre- trial on our website, CLLSociety.org. Others are also working on it, but those are the most advanced.

AstraZeneca is developing an updated version of Evusheld that they hope to bring to market later this year, pending regulatory approvals and hurdles. Phase 3 clinical trials will be underway here in the US in the coming weeks.

hi

I’ve heard FDA required a prospective randomized trial

1/2 of folks get placebo

I’ve been told it is a year out from possible FDA approval

Makes no sense to deprive immune compromised a drug that could be life saving

And

Who knows I if it will work against the variants at the time it’s approved
