Evusheld/bivalent vaccines

Colleagues, I am scheduled to get my second series of evusheld next week. I hear that the new bivalent vaccine will be out after labor day. I know you can take evusheld two weeks after the vaccine but no one knows still how long after Evusheld to wait before the vaccine. The cdc used to say 60-90 days and now ????

Please what's the latest info on this? Need to time this optimally. thanks.

I’ll be interested in the replies that you get.EVUSHELD being antibodies to the Covid virus and lasting 6-12 months would possibly attack the Covid vaccine which is composed of mRNA particles of the SARS virus which act as an antigen or more specifically an immunogen which are designed to stimulate one’s immune system to respond by making antibodies to that vaccine immunogen. So the question that I have not seen answered is: do EVUSHELD antibodies get depleted (self defeating) while trying to eliminate the well intentioned vaccine?

The CDC and AZ says no worries, but the data are thin. Best in my opinion to get vaccinated first, then wait at least 2 weeks to get Evusheld. That's my plan.

I’m getting my second round of Evusheld early October and was told by my oncologist to wait 2-4 weeks before getting the flu shot.Thinking I’ll also space out the vaccine.

I will be following this thread also. I wanted to get the new Covid vax before my next dose of Evusheld, but since it’s not ready yet, I went ahead and got my Evusheld last week. I’m getting on a plane next week and want to be protected. I hope for more studies on whether the Evusheld will counteract the vaccine

good luck. i may get the Evusheld and wait 30-45 days for bivalent Truthfully since they haven’t been tested on humans, i’d love a little data on how people fare. place where i’m getting Evusheld is meeting with The manufacturer reps on thursday and asking this exact question. i’ll decide then and will post what i learn

Timely question for me, as well. I have Evusheld scheduled for the end of September but will reschedule that if the new bivalent vaccine ends up being released too close to that appointment. Trying to time all these is tricky. For instance, I am waiting until mid October for the flu vaccine this year to space all these 2 weeks apart as my doctor advises. Normally I get the flu vaccine late September, as soon as my facility opens its flu vac clinic.

My doctor told me in April after getting Evusheld to wait two weeks to get the booster.
