Regulars will know that I have been having investigations for possible AFIB since an accident at home in June. So today I finally got to see Cardiologist. Such a lovely lady doctor. She ordered an Echocardigram and blood pressure tests and then we sat and talked. She read my notes and was the first to agree with me that my irregular heart rhythm, after the accident was caused by shock. Added to that she thought the large doses of morphine and paracetamol wouldn't have helped.
I have agreed to continue with the Apixaban because it seems to be helping my varicose veins.
The only thing she has suggested is a check for thyroid problems, she didn't think there was anything but I had blood taken to be sure.
I just feel so much relief now.

Good to hear. It is always so nice to have a communicative Dr. who will take the time to talk and not just send you for tests. Best wishes for that scare being behind you.
I got Afib after my Covid booster shot, and I attributed the cause to Ibrutinib I was taking. My specialist said it could've also been the shock triggered by the vaccine that cause Afib. That was news to me.
Yes, thanks. We are loving our new house and the location. I’m still very aware of the Covid risk, but we are out of the house a lot and doing normal things now, seeing our sons and grandchildren which is great…
Paul’s bloods are good on Venetoclax… I just wish none of us had the horrible Covid threat in the back of our minds 🤦♀️
