Pasting text into message

I am unable to paste unformatted text into the body of a message. Any thoughts as to why this might be?

I have written the message in another client and just want to paste into the message. The system reports that there is no body!

Robert - Admin can maybe shed more light on your problem than I can, but having lost occasional replies and more than I like to remember long PMs, I now always use a word processor/text editor for any long posts/replies/PMs. I do sometimes see some weird paragraph spacing with the copies into HU, but have never come across what you describe. The only 2 things I can think of that might cause a problem like you describe would be in the method you are using for the copy function or some fundamental document-to-HU incompatibility.

Good Luck finding a solution and Stay Well While you seek it.

So pasting in unformatted text from an email client gives you the following

You haven't given me much to go on. It would help if you said what the application and operating system was. What happens if you paste the unformatted text into an application that only accepts unformatted text, such as Microsoft Notepad for Windows, then copy and paste that into the body of the post on HU?

I've never heard of the proroblem you describe, sorry.

Coping the text from the email client (outlook mac) into notes and then into HL, solves the problem.

Good to know my suggestion worked. What is happening, is that your Mac app is presenting your unformatted text to the HU client as an image object, not text. Hence HU reports that "The body cannot be empty" that is there is no text identified, just an image of the text. Using an app that only works with text or doesn't serve it up as an image fixes the problem. Use Notes to write your posts, then paste them into the HU post.
