When nodes build on the jaw, is it painful and sometimes warm after touching?

Do you have a fever? Any dental work recently? Any possibility of a cracked tooth or loose filling? "Warm when touching" sounds like an inflammatory process, which in many tissues indicates your body part might be fighting off an infection. "Painful lymph nodes" can also be a sign of infection.

Thank you for the response. I think I will start with a dentist.

Do try the dentist first but are you having headaches with it? If so you may wish to look at GCA. (Giant Cell Arterites ). The jaw is involved with that.

Hope it soon resolves.
