Husband's Ventoclax Ramp Up Goes Smoothly!

Here in California, the temperature reached 120 degrees on the first day of my husband's Ventoclax Ramp Up. Our power went out, and without AC, it was definitely a day to remember! On the positive side, he followed his specialist's instructions, labs followed by ventoclax medication, followed by more labs and tons of water. Everything went extremely smoothly, with no reaction at all! I was concerned as his lymph nodes remained swollen along with a now slightly enlarged spleen, but great news! We will continue with the ramp-up next week as the dosage increases for the next 5 weeks. Next week he will also have his O infusion, so at least he will be at the infusion center if there are any issues. I have already received the new bivalent Covid Vaccine, to keep us both safe, he was advised to get it as well. I'm not sure if it will be too effective, but he received Evusheld prior to treatment, so I'm not too worried. While it feels like we are on the cusp of even better treatments and possibly a cure someday, I am truly grateful for the immunotherapy treatments we have today! As every person's experience is unique, I hope that these updates provide a glimmer of bright light for those embarking on this journey.

So good to hear. May next week with V + O be an even "cooler" experience.

Thank you for sharing & well wishes, prayers & virtual hugs headed your way. Sorry to hear about your power going out. Here on East Coast, I am thrilled 90+ degree weather is over!!

When I am hot I take a cold shower or take a dip in the swimming pool pool. This cools me down for a while . Rinse, repeat.

One note, has anyone experienced an extra dose of "forgetfullness" while on the O+V treatment? Don't see how this could be medically related, just curious! Thank you all once again!
