How about a party in the Caribbean tonight ?

How about a party in the Caribbean tonight ? We all deserve a night out to really party. We need and deserve it to support our therapy: Take me away from all this ! You do not need an invation: You tell them I sent you! Covid mask is optional as you will notice. Here is the ticket: Search VILLALONA CUMPLEANOS CLAUDIA . The dozen videos on the Internet were taken in October 2021 during a birthday party in the Dominican Republic. (If the flashing lights bother, cover the sector on the computer by piece of notebook paper ). Just relax and let it all seep into you and the music regulate your brain: Stop "thinking" ! Wait - there is more: See the same musician, Fernando Villalona in 1984 before the beginning of the previous worldwide problem HIV. That video from 1984 shows the same Dominican musicians during a party in Aruba, Netherland Antilles: ARUBA VILLALONA MESA ( By the way the band will be in New York and New Jersey in August: $ 100 to get into the door. Frontrow seating $ 200 . )

We're 'kind of' having our own party....... (England vs New Zealand cricket first!) Watching many hours of Glastonbury festival and the Isle of Wight festival (recorded)..... It's quite moving and heart warming/wonderful to see people enjoying their selves after these last few awful years♥️🎉😁☀️

Power to the people (l wished)💪!

Perhaps we are just a couple of old cynics. Watching the news all the reviews are amazing so might watch on catchup when I am doing the washing up. But will try to watch the Pet Shop Boys 😍

I watched up to about 11pm but gave up as not really enjoying it. I have read this morning that it got better and his voice actually loosened up and improved further into the set. Not bad for 80 to do nearly 3 hours non stop. I tried watching Billie Eilish last night but decided not really my thing. Will definitely try and catch the Pet Shop Boys. David

David,

I saw Wings years ago at the Albert Dock, and let’s just say I was glad I hadn’t paid for the tickets. Agreed at 80 I would be in bed with a mug of cocoa, but there are a number of fit ageing rockers around so perhaps the secret to longevity.I just checked to see what she was wearing but definitely will watch the Pet Shop Boys for their amazing style.

I watched it till 11.15pm, and was sort of enjoying it (reliving my youth - Paul is only 5 years older than me). I was lost in admiration for his energy, but I could hardly hear the singing above the general noise. On the whole I’d rather listen to the original recordings!PS I’ve never been a festival goer, and my husband is a radio 4 man through and through so have missed most of the later music since we were married.

Chris,

The Archers is the only thing I listen to on 4, and like you I have never been to a festival. I hate crowds. The nearest I get is Hampton Court Palace concerts ! You get a seat and you actually can see who is on the stage and hear them.

Yes perhaps we can find out where he gets his energy from ? I think many of us here would pay richly if it was bottled ! Treatment going well but some days that fatigue suddenly hits me from nowhere. I wish it would give me advance notice.

Watching Glastonbury my wife said I would love to be there. I said yes apart from the fact you don’t like crowds, hate camping and would freak out at the toilets I am sure you would love it. 🙂

I am exactly the same, but we could start saving because I read about a luxury camping hotel for only 27k for the festival.

I did 1 festival. Took my son and 2 friends when they 15 to Sonisphere at Knebworth in 2009. More heavy metal with Metallica and Linkin Park headlining. I am glad I went for the experience but it is not something I want to repeat. Hampton Court sounds good. Only ever been to the Flower show there, although I was born about a mile away from HC Palace.

I was at the art school in Kingston so got to know the area.Hampton Court festival is worth a try but tickets sell quickly. I have seen Van Morrison, Buena Vista Social Club and Jools Holland, so quite a mix and you can bring a picnic to have in the grounds.

I feel the same about crowds, worse since Covid. I like the sound of Hampton Court concerts but it’s rather a long way to go for an evening…..!Are you on Ibrutinib indefinitely? I didn’t like the idea of extra tablets (on top of heart ones) so was very glad to get the year of Venetoclax. Fatigue - yes, but how much is my age and lack of fitness I hate to think! I’m glad you are doing well on Ib - long may it continue 😊
