Lymph glands

This is probably a really stupid question but, is there a way to get the lymph glands to get smaller? My WBC is 6.8. All other blood tests are normal, but my glands are swollen.

No question is a stupid question here. From all that I have read there is no way to way to make your lymph nodes smaller short of treatment and treatment isn’t recommended solely to control lymph nodes unless the nodes are causing problems by impacting other organs, your ability to swallow, etc. I wish I could recommend a solution to your problem but unfortunately I can’t. Maybe another member will have further information.

Bunnie, of course the answer given by HopeME is related to lymph node enlargement caused by CLL. When lymph nodes are enlarged because of an infection, the appropriate treatment for the cause of the infection, can decrease the size of the lymph nodes.

CLL/SLL lymph node enlargement is caused by the accumulation of the diseased B-cells in lymph nodes and in the spleen.

Your lymph nodes may very well get larger and smaller. I noticed one in my neck that grew and then shrunk to half the size it was. My wbc is 22. Could be effected by the covid vaccine possibly.I have had that suspicion. They started shrinking when I went to the half dose boosters.

I am a relapser and 2nd time around started oral treatment ONLY because of my enlarged nodes My bloodwork was always pretty good! In my effort to try to decrease their size I bought an infrared sauna It really helped me

At least I could get temporary relief I used it frequently There is other alternative things I did also that helped but what works for one may not work for another Grateful for

treatment It melts them away, works in a matter of days or just a week
