I have a friend in my support group who could use the resources in this community. Her blood cancer is rare. Can she register her?

Can anyone with a blood cancer register?
While your friend is welcome, I would strongly recommend that she includes her blood cancer type in her bio. If she asks any questions, she would be wise to mention her blood cancer type. I'm stressing this because unless she does so, members wishing to support her will naturally assume that she has CLL and may, with the best of intentions, provide suggestions that are incorrect for her specific cancer. I appreciate that she may benefit from reading about commonly shared experiences, but she will need to appreciate that our community support team can't verify the accuracy of suggestions for blood cancers other than CLL/SLL.
She may find the Leukaemia Care community of interest, as it provides general support for all leukaemias and lymphomas, with specific focus for those living in the UK

There may be other HealthUnlocked communities that she would find helpful, as this site has over 300 communities supporting over 250 different health conditions. See about.healthunlocked.com/

I see you are Canadian and presuming your friend is as well, I would suggest she look at what support is available (in French and English) from the Canadian patient groups such as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada bloodcancers.ca/ or, depending on the type of blood cancer, Lymphoma Canada lymphoma.ca/ or Myeloma Canada myelomacanada.ca/ All these organizations offer good information on their web sites, support groups and peer support programs.
