Do you have autoimmune disease causing hypothyroidism? Like Hashimoto's thyroiditis? What did your endocrinologist say? If the reason is an autoimmune condition I would start to investigate how to fix or improve the underlying cause. A lot of times it is triggered by what we eat. There are foods not everybody's thyroid gland is able to tolerate well.
Hi Green, I have Hashimoto's, so my thyroid numbers are always somewhat out of whack, and have been for many years. However, after taking ibrutinib, then acalabrutinib for a year and a half, my free T3 continues to escalate to the point that I've needed to reduce the amount of liothyronine I take daily.
I have no idea if the BTK drugs have potentiated a higher level of T3 and T4, or whether my thyroid has started becoming more functional. TSH has dropped to a very low value.
Biotin may be the cause - it can reap havoc with your TSH. Most OTC bottles even post a warning to that effect. You find it in many multiple vitamins, but a lot of folks take it as a stand-alone supplement. Best to check with your doctor! Jim
I take Imbruvica since 3 years. My TSH has been normal. I take levothyroxine for hypothyroidism. Possibly your levothyroine dosage or brand needs changing
Thank you very much for your helpful comments
