Immunisation course to maintain protection against SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2)

This is the message on my GP's records for me. This was my 3rd dose, given on 4th October.

According to the new announcements I should be getting the booster, my 4th vaccination, after Jan4th 2022.

Is the description above enough to direct the NHS and get me my 4th one or will they have to fight the bureaucracy for it?

What do other people's records say about the "3rd" ?

Hi there Harvest, mine says the exact same thing but when I query it I was told once they have the correct coding it will be changed to 3rd primary dose but I'm not holding my breath. I'm going to keep pestering them for 2 to 3 weeks before I'm due my booster to make sure I get booked in for it. Due 22nd Jan. Hope you manage to get booked in for booster. Let us know how you get on and Good Luck and Stay Safe

I'm in exactly the same position, (a few days ahead of you). I intend asking my CLL specialist nurse to write to my GP practice, advising or reminding them that I am due a post third booster jab. That's how I got the third jab very quickly.I think the GP's are overwhelmed and the smaller practices, like mine, are probably unaware of our particular circumstances.

Having said this, all three spike protein tests a few weeks after each jab, showed I haven't made any antibodies!!

Mine says the same and my husband’s med record also says the same and his was a booster, not a 3rd primary dose.

A few weeks ago my GP said he’d change the record but he didn’t. On the little card given at the time of the jabs it does have a handwritten #3 over the #1 by the side of the 3rd dose.

The practice manager sorted out my 2nd and 3rd doses and I’d hoped he could do the same this time. However, I discovered yesterday when I rang to ask to speak to him, when he had spare moment, that the phone system had changed. I was answered by someone not at my surgery but at a central hub for the group of which my practice belongs. I was asked where I was calling from and after I gave my name I was asked if I was a patient. I was told I had to email him as he was the senior bod... er... I said I did know that and had spoken to him a few times previously after the reception staff had passed on a message. It didn’t make any difference. I said I didn’t have time to email and eventually she said she’d pass on a message to him. She then texted me with a link to the practice website! He didn’t ring me.

Then I did what RogerPinner did and I was asked to do to get the 3rd dose - I texted my CLL Nurse Clinician and asked her if she could email on behalf of my Consultant, the practice manager and the GP (who I had thought was ok) saying I’d had my 3rd primary dose and was now due for my booster. As it’s been 3 months since the 3rd dose please could they expedite this as soon as possible. I’d told her it was now on the NHS website about the 3rd primary dose and the latest guidance from the JCVI about the booster to be given 3 months later and she copied and pasted the whole chapter, quoting from the Green Book.

We shall see...

Sorry that was so long - winded.

Good luck all, whilst jumping through hoops again. Sigh 😔

It's a crossword puzzle inside an acrostic. As an IT specialist I don't understand why it is all so difficult. Coding should have been in place by the time boosters and 3rd doses were administered.

Here we go again! I contacted GP as 3rd dose coded similarly as a booster. Told to ring 119 (option 4) and had to be be rather assertive. It has been passed on to Data Department who should contact me within 21 days, in time for dose 4?

Now I’m fuming. My 3rd primary dose is listed on Patient Access as a Booster!

Mine is just recorded as a booster still but I have a card stating 3rd dose and I have letters in my records plus a note stating appointment for 3rd dose made. I’m due after 3rd January so will be keeping an eye on communications since I’ve had a text, email and a letter inviting me for my booster since I had the 3rd dose, stating I’m eligible for it so I cheekily look to book and I don’t need it!!!
