Has anyone with CLL had the vaccine & tested positive for the antibodies?
Thanks
Yes...I am 3 years post chemo.
Yes! >2500 U/ml anti-spike antibodies after 3rd Moderna shot. Post-Fludarabine & Rituxan; bendamustine; lenalidomide & R; and now on ibrutinib for 6+ years.
Hi Toothdoctor,
-
Yes, after the 3rd primary Pfizer I tested >2500 and I'm taking Venetoclax 400 mg daily.-
See: cllsociety.org/2021/09/cll-...
CLL patients that are untreated do quite well, those currently in pill treatment not as well, and those on infusions have a low percentage of antibody response.

Yes, >2,500 on Labcorp after Pfizer booster 3+ years post CAR-T. Many CLL patients do form antibodies, albeit less predictably and at lower levels.
I had the antibody test and was told I had a good result of antibodies. I stupidly didn’t ask what the highest number you could have but will ask next time I speak to the specialist nurse.
Only 3.8 & 5 from the Labcorp test after Pfizer 1 and 2 but 760 after Pfizer booster. FCR lite way back in 2006 and mtly IVIG today. Between vaccine one and two, I started showing positive for having had Covid but understand that may have been from the IVIG as I don’t recall any symptoms… Best wishes
My antibody history:healthunlocked.com/cllsuppo....
Yes, I joined the Cancer survey and was positive for antibodies and this was before my third primary. I wasn't told how many. I'm 2 years post FCR. X
Yes, I am on watch and wait. this was 4 weeks after my 2nd dose of AZ. I didnt have many but I had some.
I tested positive for antibodies with a number of 247.5 after my second shot. I am going to test again soon to see if it’s gone up now that I’ve had my booster.
Not me
After receiving my second shot (Pfizer), I asked my family doctor to test for antibodies during my semi-annual visit - he advised that the results were "NEGATIVE." After receiving my third shot (Pfizer), I asked my oncologist to include testing for antibodies in my usual blood work. The result posted in my patient portal indicated "POSITIVE." While no numerical value was indicated (and I haven't asked oncology for details), I'm confident it was low. Regardless, I will continue to exercise caution and live as though I have no immunity.
Four Moderna jabs and no antibodies. I am on Acalabrutinib.
BTW, the matter of post-vaccine antibodies is apparently "as clear as mud." That said, you may find this site very interesting: creakyjoints.org/living-wit...
I just read this article this morning

ABSTRACT
People with hematologic malignancies are at a high risk of morbidity and mortality from COVID-19. The response to vaccination is highly limited in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Less than half of the patients develop antibody response, suggesting that they remain at risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection even after the vaccination. Reasons for inadequate response to COVID-19 vaccination in chronic lymphocytic leukemia are multifactorial and attributed to disease-related immune dysregulation and patient and therapy-related factors. The negative predictors of response to vaccination include hypogammaglobulinemia, advanced age, current active treatment, and past treatment anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies. Despite using booster doses and heterologous immunization to improve humoral and cellular immunity, some patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia will fail to respond. Active treatment at the time of vaccination and a recent history of anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies use are the strongest predictors of the non-response. Current data support informing patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia and other hematologic malignancies about the risk of infection regardless of vaccination. These individuals and members of their households should continue extreme preventive actions despite relaxed local regulations. Other emerging non-vaccine preventive strategies include passive and post-exposure prevention with monoclonal antibodies.

No antibody response after 2 Moderna vacs plus a booster of same. Am on Zanubrutinib.
I'm on W &W since 2018 and just got LabCorps results following 3rd moderna vaccine. >2500 U/ml anti-spike antibodies
Yes, after my second Moderna shot I had 213 with the quantitative test. I am not in treatment and have been in watch and wait for 3 years. I am thinking of having another antibody test done since I had my third (booster) Moderna shot (full strength before they decided half shots were best) when they authorized it for the autoimmuned. I understand they now have a different way of arriving at the number (by doubling it?) but I’m not clear on that.
Yes my husband got an antibody test after his second shot of Moderna. It came back positive. He is currently on one Calquence a day
On W&W, one year in, no treatment (yet), took first J&J shot in very early March, n per LLS study LabCorp test, spike antibodies of 100.
So … decided to go rogue n took 2-shot Pfizer set, then scored >2500 spike antibodies. 3 following tests n it’s still at >2500 at 5 months post-2nd Pfizer shot, appears no spike antibodies waning. One of the lucky ones.
I just received feedback from a study I am in re: anitbodies and after my first shot (Astra) I had zero antibodies. Still waiting for info from second and third jabs. (Pfizer).
I am using this to reply to everyone who responded to me and the question on CLL and the vaccine. I wanted to ask a broad question first to see the response and I read all the responses. Perhaps one needs to know if you are undertreatment, what you are taking for treatment, and then which vaccine you have received. This is, I feel, something to discuss with your doctor. Maybe specific brands of vaccines work better or not at all for CLL. I had covid Dec. 2020, am on ibrutinib, and test negative for covid antibodies. HAS ANYONE HAD COVID, IF SO STILL RECEIVED THE VACCINE, AND HAS ANYONE HAD COVID AFTER GETTING THE VACCINE?
Yes, >2,500 on Labcorp but only after Pfizer booster, not after first 2 Pfizer shots. (5 1/2 years W&W.)
Hi Toothdoctor! Many of us participated in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society study. My antibodies were 254 3.5 months after my second Pfizer shot and >2500 3.5 weeks after my third Pfizer shot. Here is a link to the results of the LLS study. lls.org/news/study-leukemia...
Hi There, I am on the AZ monoclonal trial and know I had the real vaccine , Also had two AZ shots and test 3773.8 on test. Don;t really know if that is very good and means a good response or how long it will last. Just had Pfizer booster a week ago No adverse reactions to any thank goodness.
Yes Toothdoctor. Scored a 30 after the second Moderna and a 92 after the third full dose of the same.
Minimal response after 3 Moderna vaccines. 5.38. I’ve been on Ibrutinib, Acalabrutinib and very recently on Zanubrutinib.
I was told that I had 'Reactive Antibody' with total reflex IGG 526 after my Pfizer booster jab. My booster jab was on 6/30/21, and the antibody test was done on 8/18/2021. I had the 1st & 2nd Pfizer vaccines before I started Imbruvica 420mg on 4/28/21.
LabCorps results following 2 moderna vaccine. >2500 U/ml anti-spike antibodies two times, 3 months apart . Tests were run 3 and 6 months after second vaccine. I’m treatment naive except getting IVIG monthly for low IgG. Dr ran IgG at trough level and great results from IVIG. Supposedly I’m getting COVID antibodies via infusions but a friend also gets IVIG and had few antibodies. Little rhyme or reason. I’m thinking of not rushing to get booster yet. May need it more later.
