Recent blood test

Had new elevated para proteins and, subsequently, a detailed urine analysis. Consultant wants to rule out amyloidosis. I googled it and it doesn’t sound good. Hopefully just a false alarm. Is this a progression of CLL?

It is common that in doing a differential diagnosis, the more serious and life threatening conditions are tested and eliminated early in the process. Lets hope that condition is eliminated soon.

To your other question- is this a progression of CLL, I believe the CLL expert doctors would say it is not a directly caused by CLL progression.

However CLL does disturb our immune system and many patients can see one or more of many autoimmune complications. There are 60 to 100 autoimmune conditions. See:
