I might suggest you read the folowing NCCN Patient Guide it gives a great deal of information on the various blood tests. You can download this PDF to read off line.

If you'd like to track your blood test results and look for trends, the first post below explains where to obtain spreadsheet templates you can use. It's a good way to become more knowledgeable about how your CLL is affecting you, as we are all different. The spreadsheets also contain information on the relevance of the different tests you'll find in your results. The second post outlines similar information. Check out Dr Susan Leclair's Patient Power videos also referenced below:

Hi,

As Neil says trends are important. Keep track of results on a spreadsheet and be prepared for spikes along the way. Stay focussed on the trends. Wishing you well.

Hi Clllady

If doing all the above while trying to come to terms with your diagnosis gets hard as it’s a lot of information to assimilate, Initially watch for lymphocyte count which is referred to as ALC (Absolute Lymphocyte Count)

Welcome to our cll community, always someone here to help or just listen.

Best wishes

Can I just add my thanks, too. I've been diagnosed for around four years, and haven't paid much attention to the results I keep getting. Really useful stuff.

Great that you found this site,

Make sure you get a 2nd opinion from a CLL specialist before any treatment.

Cllsociety.org is a great side,

Be well,

Thank you. Re 2nd opinion...can you do that on the NHS (UK) or are you in USA ?

Tks

I am in the USA. People from the UK will have to advise.
