Hi and welcome to our community.

Calquence/acalabrutinib is a second generation BTK inhibitor, after the massive success ibrutinib/Imbruvica had in reshaping CLL treatment. Calquence is more targeted and hence has less side effects than ibrutinib. You'll find some recent related posts mentioning Calquence to the right or bottom of this post, depending on the device you are using to access our community.

There are also about 700 posts mentioning Calquence/acalabrutinib

healthunlocked.com/cllsuppo...

and approaching 6,000 mentioning ibrutinib/Imbruvica!

healthunlocked.com/cllsuppo...

Given that's rather overwhelming, perhaps a better place to start is by reading our pinned post on BTK inhibitors here: healthunlocked.com/cllsuppo...

Happy reading!

I had great experience on calquence. Very minimal side effects and it shrank my nodes quickly. Your blood counts might initially look worse but that is not unusual.
