Hi, I went to Dorset last week for 5 days. I felt safe. The tables are spaced out and ventilation was good. This appled to everywhere we went. I wore a mask and washed and used hand gel before touching my face. Now is the time to go whilst covid rules apply. We all need to use our common sense and stay away from crowds. Have a nice time. HiI am off on a week's family holiday to Pembrokeshire in mud August. I was disappointed in November, have done 6 cycles of Obinatuzamab and Ibrutinib as I was at stage 4. Now on acalabrutinib.

I will take precautions but life has to be lived and my 4 and 2 thus love the beech.

Yes, I’m even going abroad from the UK unless Covid cases reach crisis point again. I don’t have a problem with cases going up per se but obviously it’s not great for us blood cancer folk as the vaccine doesn’t offer much if any protection.

Hi Ron, We went to Blackpool for a week recently and the hotel had every precaution in place to safeguard their guests. They even limited the number of guest staying there, so as to limit numbers in the hotel. The dining room tables were all spaced out for social distancing and you had designated seats in the bar and function rooms. We felt very safe and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, knowing nothing more could possibly be done to keep us safe.

How close will your mask less self be to other mask less humans? For how long? How long will you stay in poorly ventilated inner spaces where other mask less humans stayed prior? As delta needs only seconds to spread under those conditions, the less the better.

Hi Ron, I live in Scotland and some restrictions will still be in place by that date. Safest place to be I suspect! I'm travelling to England next week in our campervan to see family and I am dreading seeing the results of 'Freedom Day'. We are then getting the Euro tunnel because we don't leave the vehicle and France has better restrictions, then back to the relative safety of Scotland where I hope masks will still be in place. I know its a risk, but my youngest son needs a holiday and I'm planning it like its Mission Impossible 🙂

You will get the full range of opinions here, I expect. Lots of people talk about things they do that they consider safe that fill me with horror, but we all have different needs, and you’re at risk in lots of situations, quite apart from Covid. It’s all about personal risk assessment, and mitigating what you can.

Enjoy it while you can! Stay safe.

Just back from 2 weeks in Scotland, however we were in our caravan and only did take aways and didn't go to the pub. I have however been out to the pub for the England matches and it was a lot worse here than being away.

Went away after first lockdown. Need a hotel without air conditioning but a window. So not to breath in other guests circulated air. I took anti bac wipes to wipe down surfaces I would use. Only takes minutes. Took my hand wash. I also took my own mug and glass.

They say the room had been sanitized etc but I’m in charge of my health.

I don’t use my own glass in a pub or cup in a cafe but sometimes wonder if they are changed when guests leave the hotel room.

Enjoy your break. Go for it.

I have stage 4 cll and traveled with my family to Nashville. I felt safe because my oncologist specialist is there if I needed anything. Don’t stop living waiting. Go for it’ and take precautions is all my doctor said.

Also we went to our first concert on my birthday to see Styx and Collective Soul. They had spaces between people and I felt safe.
