Sudden swelling

Hi there I was wondering whether any of you have experienced sudden swelling of all their extremities from cll or their treatment ?

My dad has just come home this afternoon

He had treatment day 8 two days ago and was kept in hospital to watch for any bad side effects (he is on his 3rd treatment of his obinutuzumab and ventoclax protocol) he was ok when he left but it’s come on quickly

Has anyone had this side effect?

Thanks for any replies

I don’t know the answer to your question, but I am glad you came to this forum to ask it. Responses will come from those who understand what your dad is experiencing. May it be resolved soon. Sandra🙂

Please phone your haematology doctor or nurse and let them know what is happening, especially as it has come on quickly. Jackie

Hi there - I had Ob and Chlorambucil for 6mts ending March last year. I found that my legs from knees down used to progressively swell and itch a little during the day, and then return to normal over night. This gradually faded away over the next 6 mts or so, and all is now OK. Treatment seems to induce all sort of things, but mostly they seem, in my experience, to be temporary. Good luck! Handley

Thanks for all your comments. The Doctors said that the swelling was a side effect of all the fluids they gave him at his last Infusion. Even though it was 3 days earlier. They have given him diuretics to take to reduce this.

Glad you called the doctor and put a plan in place to help with the side effects. Thanks for the update.
