COVID antibody test

Been on w&w for three years my blood is getting slowly worse and have been prone to have prostrate infections. I have had my 2 doses of Astra Zeneca vaccine. I was worried that because my immune system is low that I would not have generated COVID 19 antibodies so I got tested. To my surprise the result was POSITIVE over 2500.0 ( u/ml). It certainly made me feel better and safer. But I will not be complacent!

You are one of the very fortunate ones.....this is great! I was not as fortunate so I remain very guarded....my IVIG keeps me in a very good place and Plan B will be the monoclonal antibodies should I get Covid. Our local hospital has them. All the very best!

Hi, I keep meaning to ask the consultant how I would be treated if I have symptoms. There is an oncology helpline but I dont think they have monoclonal antibodies in uk.

We are now being told we can hug and have people in our homes. There are a lot of people that dont have the common sense the government is crediting them with.

The only hugging I would like to do is with my little grandsons.

I am avoiding doing a test for antibodies. I will carry on being careful and hope the ivig will start containing antibodies. My family are vaccinated which will be reasuring, Anne uk

My plan B is a budesonide based corticoid asthma inhaler. Symbicort for example. And Ivermectin of course 😊. In case it doesn't kill me it will make me stronger😂

It is tipping with rain here in the uk and bad forecast all week. I dont intend going far and it will keep folk away from beauty spots and beaches. Cant sit outside in the sun.Hopefully it will keep people away from us and maybe they wont leave litter. Sorry it infuriates me, Anne uk

That is fanatastic news. I also got my results today and mine were also POSITIVE with 1179.00. I am overjoyed but like you I won't be taking any risks.

Do those infections affect your PSA levels? Or is it just symptoms?

Hi, yes they did affect PSA levels. Also I was constantly on antibiotics. It was suggested that I have the TURP operation. I held off for a while but had it early March and so far no infections or antibiotics. But only time will tell. PS no cancer was found in the prostate.
