That’s great news! I’m also on acalabrutnib and have had both Pfizer jabs. Very little solid research on the efficacy of the vaccine for cll patients. There is a large study being done by the university of Birmingham which I’ve volunteered for. But the results won’t come out for a while yet.Again great news.
And also the study being done by the LLS. My wife was in the same situation as Mik, with the same results. Still trying to figure out what level of immunity was measured and reported in the LLS blood analysis result.
Actually, it could be an estimation based on number of antibodies. However, to the best of my knowledge such test has been set in US ( at least in my University). The main issue, however, is BKT (acalabritinib).
Sorry, there is typo error: the test has not been set up. Regarding acalabrutinib you may need for sure both doses and if your oncologist allows you to stop acalabrutinib for a week it may increase a chance to develop antibodies, but it has to be your oncologist decision.
