Sounds like a wonderful group. I have a membership question. I am Irish/English on my father's side, French/Irish on my mother's side. This makes me a cajun with Irish heritage, which could at least partially explain my overreaching affinity for adult beverages.
More specifically, according to ancestry.com and stories from my aunts and uncles, my clan comes from a place called Munster, 60% of my heritage tracks back to there. My best guess is from the little history I could find is that my ancestors left North Munster during the potato famine. How ancestry can track me not only to Munster, but to North Munster, is beyond me. But it must be correct. I know I have ancestors from Ireland and ancestry.com could not have known that when I submitted my dna.
So here is the question. Do I qualify to join an Ireland facebook cll group? I have cll. I have Irish. I like a whiskey at night. I like to get fluthered, act the maggot a bit, but am no sleeven. Is that enough to get me in the group?
Jeff you are very welcome to join. Everybody is welcome. There are no borders with CLL. We are just trying to create a space that people can connect locally but we still need our friends from other countries to keep us informed.
Very interesting DNA. I suppose I should say welcome home.
