A trial is going to start to see if adding venetoclex to ibrutinib resistant patients can create a synergisic affect thats beneficial to both drugs.
I've seen anecdoctal comments from patients on the web but no actual trial proof until now. I am no expert on trials but i don't think companies and NIH do trials(spend money) unless they think there is a reasonable chance the trial will be positive.
I will be looking for a trial to see if either Calquence/Acalabrutinib or one of the Non Bindind BTK inhibitors can provide a synergistic effect to Venetoclax.
-
I became resistant to Idelalisib/Zydelig and could not tolerate Ibrutinib/Imbruvica, now after 36 months of Venetoclax, I am no longer U-MRD, so need a plan F- as the first 4 (b,c,d,e) did not last,
Like Hidden I have read some anecdotal comments that Ibrutinib restores or reinvigorates exhausted T cells in synergy with Venetoclax, but I cannot bear the rash I get from Ibrutinib.
-
Since my skin biopsies already show too many T cells in my skin, it will be interesting to see if the other BTK actors will give benefits without the side effects.
-
So any trial I can qualify for, in the NYC area will be my target.
