a diagnosis at last

saw consultant yesterday I have almost completed diagnosis few more tests to come .

it would seem that my CLL has mutated into a quite a rare lymphoma I don’t think I have it quite right but it’s called ana plastic lymphoma ( apparently a rare form that mutates from CLL )

I will have six courses of chemotherapy every 21 days it’s a version of chop but with two different additions ( I will post more info when I’m able )

My consultant is in touch with not only the teaching hospital in Wales but apparently specialist haemotology consultant all over the country .

as there is now a plan in place and my consultant definitely seems more on top of everything I feel more positive. I know that there is no magic bullet and what I face is going to be a hard journey but I’m decided that as an elderly aunt of mine who is 98 years old quotes all the time .. one day at a time . My next chemo is next Thursday so 🤞 my bloods hold up ( yesterday bloods looked good 👍)

Thankyou again to everyone for your support and messages have a good day wherever you are x Chris

Chris morning,

I won’t say it’s good news, but it’s good that you at long last have a diagnosis and a treatment in place. Hopefully every 21 days sounds very manageable. Your aunt sounds marvellous 🤞

Really hope things go well. I was so ill that I was in a wheelchair in December but thanks to fantastic new treatment I have never felt better. In fact, off for a 3 week tour of Scotland next week. Never ever give up hope. X

Good to have a diagnosis even if not one you’d wish for.

Best of luck going forward.

I thought it would be anaplastic NH Lymphoma. Well, the correct diagnosis means that you can get the correct treatment now which can only be good.

Wishing you all the very best. Please keep us updated x

Wishing you strength to get through the treatment. I agree with the one day at a time mantra. Hoping the treatment isn't too harsh. Take care of yourself
