I was diagnosed at 30,

I went six years before I need a treatment .

I’ve developed thrombocytopenia which is self-destruction of the platelets . I did six months of treatment and was fine for five years . I did relapse again and started self destructing my red blood cells as well . I did six months of treatment and then a regimen for two years . I stayed in remission for another three years . I have again relapsed

I became a hemolytic anemic an d required six blood transfusions, eight weeks of chemotherapy and I am on a maintenance program for two years with chemo every three months .

Pete has been almost 19 years since I was diagnosed . I feel good and take each day as it comes .

I'm sorry you are facing all of these challenges along the way, but it sounds like your doctors are on top of things. Keep on keeping on ! As Brian Koffman would say.
