Imbruvica and amlodipine

Hi...Has anyone taken these 2 meds together and experienced swelling of the legs and ankles?I am dealing with that presently and wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else..please reply asap.

Yes, I did. The swelling got worse as the weeks went by no matter what I did to try to reduce it. It’s a well known side effect of Amlopidine. I changed to Losartan and my legs are fine now and my BP is better controlled too.

I take both. I had a little feet swelling early on but it stopped, not sure it was related. I did had severe nighttime leg aches that kept me awake nights. I tried everything including lots of TylenolPM but CBD oil worked wonders. After about 4-5 months, I no longer have the problem and no longer need CBD oil.

I took both together for two years with no such problem - but that doesn't mean it wouldn't cause problems for some others.

Amlodipine main side effect is lower extremity swelling. My husband had the same issue and I asked that he be switched to Losartan and like myself, once he did, no more swelling. Same with an elderly cousin of mine. So I would attribute to Amlodipine not the combination.
