Hello everyone
Could CLL be responsible for hair loss ?
(Not talking about chemo or any treatment)

More likely age.. I have never seen any attribution of hair loss to CLL. CLL gets blamed for lots of things, most unassociated, but not hair loss, that I'm aware of.

There’s the possibility a side effect of Cll could cause hair loss such as stress or anaemia..

As I got older, my hair did not turn gray, it turned loose.
Has your wife had her thyroid checked? Also, look at side effects of any meds she is taking. Endocrinologists and dermatologists both deal with causes of hair loss.
I have often wondered about this. I'm on two drugs that have hair thinning or loss as a side effect and my hair has been thinning for years (since I've been on them *and* since I've had CLL). I take finasteride, and it doesn't seem to be helping.
Not everything is CLL related. Would suggest you go over all meds for side effects with your GP and then if needed discuss what could cause loss of hair. You talking about thinning, shedding or clumps?
Hopefully once you eliminate medication side effects, you can eliminate any other medical conditions.
Hair also has a life span.I went through hair loss last year for no reason that I knew of. It has grown back.I'm soon to be 59.

Hypothyroidism can cause hair loss. Have her check TSH levels and other lab work related to the thyroid.
