Ever wondered how long to stay away from anyone with a cold or flu infection?
"Most people become contagious with cold symptoms one to two days after exposure to a cold virus.
:
An infected person can spread the flu for five to seven days after becoming infected. The infectious period can begin 24 hours before the onset of symptoms. This means you can spread the flu without even knowing you’re sick."

good to know...I'll continue my practice of wearing gloves in public places and keep my distance in crowds. I have a face mask with me at all times that I can use when I see symptoms. That would leave only the no symptoms people as a hidden danger
Thanks for the info Neil. I have taken the advice of Chris on this. He mentioned one time before that when he goes into a public place like a doctor's office or maybe even a restaurant he takes some hand sanitizer and dabs into his moustache as well on the hands. I have been doing this. The wife thinks I am nuts but hey- if that can help stop me from getting the flu. Then all the better.STAY STRONG J.R
We are all concerned about exposure to others who are ill, but this article is about staying away from others when WE are ill. It works both ways. We have the same responsibility as others (sadly ignored too often on both sides) to not spread germs!
With CLL, stay away from other who have illnesses all together, even if is means for a long time. I don't go to crowded places, movies, malls, casino, etc
